That's probably what I'd go with. Most of my body is very weak, but my back muscles are good and the only way I can carry significant weight. I trained myself up by deliberately carrying a heavy bookbag to school every day when I was younger. So, if I'm well enough to walk, baby on back seems sensible and convenient, plus I like the idea of the kid getting to look at stuff moreso than a stroller allows. If I'm not well enough to walk, well then a baby can ride on my lap in a wheelchair pretty easily, I'd think.
Carrying a baby is probably going to be something I try to avoid as much as possible as random vertigo spells or random weakness in the arms and hands doesn't sound like it combines well with a baby.
